My biggest hint regarding saving tons of money through couponing, is.... STOCKPILING. After you read the newbie section, read the info in the stockpiling section.

This is another site that alerts you to deals just about anywhere. You can find MUCHO coupon sites and info here too. I bounce between HCW and SD when looking for deals or during my weekly deal-hunt.

Register here for free and after giving your info., she will email you lists weekly, that matches your stores with the deals and coupons in your area for the most savings. TOTALLY worth it!

I also personally go to the brands' website for the items I'm looking for. Like, bettercrocker.com. There are printable coupons there that they change out now and again.

To Purchase Coupons
I have had MANY people ask me why I would spend money on coupons when I'm trying to SAVE money?" B/c it saves me MORE $ than I'm spending on the coupon! I have several favorite sites that I visit to order coupons. I like to spend between .03 and .05 on each coupon, but will spend up to .10 a coupon for the realllllly good ones. Say I do spend .10 for a coupon that saves me 1.50. That's a savings of 1.40! The other day I went to one of my fav. sites and made a coupon purchase totalling around 5.84 or so. That included shipping and when I added up all the coupon face values, my savings (if I use them all) will be over $130. My first goal is to match coupons w/ current promotions or deals in store ads or clearance aisles, so if I can do that, my savings will shoot up MUCH higher than face value! That's why I frequently buy coupons.

My favorite site is thecouponmaster.com. Another site is couponclippers.com. You can also purchase from some ladies on Ebay. Just never buy any PRINTED coupons from Ebay b/c sometimes they are fraudulent, although not always.

To Anticipate Coming Sales or Coupons
The main place I get my coupons is the Sunday paper. But I don't buy papers every Sunday. First I go to taylortownpreview.com where the coupons that **SHOULD** come out on Sunday are listed by Date. Keep in mind that she lists what is regional to her but there will be many similarities to your inserts there. You may even get exactly what she lists in her area. But it also may change by week.

If I go to taylortownpreview.com and don't see anything exciting whatsoever, I skip buying papers that Sunday. If I can, I might visit a stand where I can thumb through the paper before buying to make sure.

Another thing I do to anticipate sales and ads, is go to the stores actual website and scan their weekly ad. My fav. stores in my area are Albertsons and Walgreens so I go to those sites and find the WEEKLY ADS link the day the new ad is out...or late the night before. Typically grocery store ads change every Wednesday and Drugstores ads change on Sundays.

If you visit HCW often, you'll eventually find the section of the forum where stores are all discussed alphabetically. There are some ladies on that site that get copies of the ads for some stores WEEKS ahead of time and it helps my strategy to be able to see what is coming up. I might think something is a TERRIFIC deal this week, but after scanning upcoming ads, I see that the next weeks deal is even better! So it gives me more time to collect my coupons for the sale and helps me save money this week so I can wait for the right sale.
